Learn and serve your neighborhood... We provide everything from simple introductory experiences that provide a taste of why Village Hubs are so compelling, to instruction for new Hub Volunteers, to communities of practice for the experienced volunteers who provide leadership for their local community Hubs.
(Wondering what Hubs are? Click here.)
Everyone is welcome. You only need 20 minutes to start as a "Walk-Up" at one of the Practice Events listed below on this page. We'll explain everything, it's fun, and you'll get a first taste of what Hubs do. Or stop by a Hub Demo booth, typically set-up and community events and fairs. Info on these upcoming opportunities are listed below.

Volunteers will complete Part B of Hub Certification when they serve in this role and pass a simple verbal test. This option is only for those who have had prior training (Part A) in the Hub system at one of our prior workshops or events.
Volunteers are part of a team and must attend from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (including pre- and post-event discussions). Spots are limited -- sign up now if you are interested.
"Walk-Ups" are provided with cards describing a situation which they then pretend to be bringing to the Hub. For example, "My elderly neighbor depends on medical equipment. She only has three hours of battery remaining and her caregivers are unreachable. What should we do?".
"Walk-Ups" simply stop-by for about 30 minutes (or longer if you want) anytime between 9:45 - 11:15 a.m. It's fun and educational and no prior experience or workshops are required -- all are welcome!
